Hair Care Travel Tips

It’s time to travel! You are on vacation or on a business trip and you want to look your best.

Here are some suggestions to keep you looking beautiful on the go ~

On the plane – use Evian Facial Mist natural mineral water. Give your face and hair a mist and feel like you just had a shower. Perks your skin right up!

Once you arrive, you are raring to go, but when you style your hair it is just not behaving! Why not? First of all, the water is probably different. You may live in a soft water area and travel to a hard water area or you may have hard water at home. If your water is soft, soap will suds up nicely, but in hard water, soap will leave soap scum on everything – even you!

Hotel hot water may be hotter than what you have at home. Always use cool water for your wash and rinse or better still – even use the bottled water the hotel gives you.

The products available in those cute little bottles at the hotel may smell great, but they may not be the right products for you – take your own products with you. Put your them into small bottles or buy the travel size at your salon.

Hotel blow dryers are not good for your hair – they can be too hot or just not put out enough air to get your hair dry. Take your Dyson supersonic hair dryer with you. Once you have a Dyson, you won’t want to go back to a traditional dryer. It is really worth the price!

If you want your best look possible, you can always get a professional blow-out. Ask the hotel concierge to recommend a salon and ask the stylist what products would work with the local water and humidity levels.
